Event Description
Inspired by Art Kane’s "A Great Day in Harlem" photograph, and Writer of Ypsilanti Debbie Taylor’s book, Sweet Music in Harlem, we're gathering writers, word-lovers, and community members for a photo in the YDL-Michigan Library Plaza that celebrates Ypsilanti’s creativity and spirit. As part of YpsiWrites’ “Telling Our Stories” theme for 2025, members of the community can participate in family-friendly writing activities from 1-3pm, with the photo happening at 1:30pm.
YpsiWrites will also announce their 2025 “Writer in Residence.”
